As a newly launched magazine and set to be the largest men’s magazine in the UK, ShortList needed an online presence that encapsulated the essence of the magazine, would contain large volumes of content across many topic areas and yet would be intuitive and simple to navigate, optimising the user experience.

We worked on creating a site that would visually appeal to its target audience, ensuring it retained a news-feel without appearing cluttered or complicated to navigate. We colour-coded topic areas to increase its intuitiveness, incorporated a full CMS and made provision for banner advertising to monetise the site.

The client was delighted with the final website design, which has received vast positive press coverage and continues to grow in popularity with 41% increase in traffic between June and
August 08.

NFL UK tasked Bluhalo with creating their official online presence. Key priorities lay with brand communication, increasing fan engagement and education, providing a dynamic showcase for the sport and increasing its commercial effectiveness.

We ensured the site’s navigation was intuitive and included a number of social media elements to build on the NFL UK community. We brought the sport to life by incorporating dynamic creative elements such as pitch markings and players in action and made provision for site monetisation such as sponsorship and advertising, whilst ensuring it minimised interruption to the user experience.

The website has been very well received by fans and the client alike and was recently awarded NMA site of the week, being scored 22/25 for usability.

Rather than being a remote and purely fact-based resource, the Club wanted to engage the fans with a site that would reward them for their loyalty and love.

The original build involved a number of technical integrations, incorporated over 17,000 pages and needed to be capable of handling high traffic levels. Over the last year, Bluhalo has redesigned the site, further improving the navigation and features.

Adelaide is simply civilised with a good life that no other Australian city can match. The colonists who arrived from 1836 built in stone and their architectural heritage is well preserved, giving Adelaide its elegant air. It’s Australia’s cultural capital, a festival city and has the biennial Adelaide Festival, WOMADelaide, Fringe and Festival of Ideas. There’s a sense of space. Adelaide’s remarkable parklands let the city breathe. Suburban parks, street tree canopies and private gardens make this an urban place that’s surprisingly close to nature.
